Abstract: A new mononuclear Co(Ⅲ) complex, [Co(L)]NO3·2EtOH (H2L=1,1′-[3,6-diazaoctane-1,8-diylbis(nitrilo-methylidyne)]-di-2-naphthaldehyde), has been synthesized and structurally characterized. X-ray crystal structure of the complex reveals that the Co(Ⅲ) ion is six-coordinated by four nitrogen atoms and two oxygen atoms from L2- unit. Crystallographic data: monoclinic, space group P21/c with a=1.588 9(3) nm, b=1.795 4(4) nm, c=1.109 3(2) nm, β=100.78(3)°, C32H40CoN5O7, Mr=665.60, V=3.108 4(11) nm3, Dc=1.422 g·cm-3, μ=0.608 mm-1, F(000)=1 400, Z=4, the final R1=0.064 3 and wR2=0.207 6. The antibacterial experiments indicate that it has high antibacterial activities against C. albicans, B. subtillis, E. coli, E. carotovora and C. flaccumfaciens. CCDC: 856755. |
