Abstract: One dimensional chain manganese(Ⅱ) coordination polymer has been synthesized with 2,4,6-trimethyl-benzoic acid, 4,4′-bipyridine and manganese perchlorate anhydrous, and characterized by IR and elementary analysis. Its crystal belongs to orthorhombic space group Ccca with a=1.302 84(15) nm, b=2.601 1(3) nm, c=2.332 2(3) nm; V=7.903 5(15) nm3, Dc=1.227 g·cm-3, Z=8, F(000)=3 064, R1=0.068 4, wR2=0.210 9. The crystal structure shows that the manganese ion is coordinated with two nitrogen atoms of one 4,4′-bipyridine molecule and four oxygen atoms from two 2,4,6-trimethylbenzoic acid molecules and two water molecules respectively, forming a distorted octahedral coordination geometry. The cyclic voltametric behavior of the complex shows that the electron transfer in electrode reaction is quasi-reversible. CCDC: 694096. |
