Preparation and Surface Characterization of the Nano-Calcium Carbonate Modified with Maleic Anhydride |

摘要: 通过在两相法制备纳米碳酸钙的过程中添加一定量的马来酸酐(MAH)的方法,在纳米碳酸钙的表面引入羧基、羟基、双键等活性基团对纳米碳酸钙进行表面改性,并通过调节马来酸酐的用量,有效地控制纳米碳酸钙的极性和表面能。接触角实验结果表明,当马来酸酐的加入量为2%时可以获得界面性能最理想的改性纳米碳酸钙。还在此基础上提出了马来酸酐(MAH)对纳米碳酸钙进行表面改性的过程机理,并以SEM,ATR-FTIR和TGA等手段对上述过程机理进行了验证。 |

Abstract: Surface modification of nanometer calcium carbonate (nano-CaCO3) was achieved by introduction of active groups as carboxyl groups, hydroxyl groups and double bond on the surface nano-CaCO3 with maleic anhydride (MAH). The polarity and surface energy of nano-CaCO3 changed with the content of MAH. The results of contact angle showed that the surface property of MAH/nano-CaCO3 particles samples was improved significantly and the best surface modification effect was achieved when the content of MAH was about 2wt% in the nano-CaCO3. SEM,ATR-FTIR,TGA were used to characterize the modified products. A mechanism for the surface modification of nano-CaCO3 by MAH is suggested based on the above results and characterization. |
