Abstract: Synthesis, crystal structure and the electrochemical properties of the complex [Co(benimtacn)Cl2]Cl·3H2O (benimtacn= 1-(Benzimidazol-2-ylmethyl)-1,4,7-triazacyclononane) are reported. The result shows that the complex crystallizes in the orthorhombic system, space group Pbca with lattice parameters a=1.131 13(15) nm, b=1.345 00(18) nm, c=2.567 6(4) nm, and Dc=1.621 g·cm-3, Z=8. The coordination number of cobalt(III) is six; it is located in the center of a slightly distorted octahedron. A chloride ion and three water moleculars are out of the complex ion. CCDC: 634987. |
