Abstract: By using Bi(S₂CNEt₂)₃ as single-source precursor, Bi₂S₃ nanoflowers and nanorods have been obtained via a solvothermal treatment. The effect of water, ethylene glycol and polyethylene glycol as reaction medium on the structure and shape of Bi₂S₃ nanosized materials was investigated, and Bi₂S₃ nanoflowers and nanorods were characterized by SEM, TEM and XRD.
