Abstract: The hydrothermal reaction of Zn(NO₃)₂, NaN₃, and 1-(4-pyridyl)-2-(2-cyanobenzene) ethylene (PCE), at the mole ratio 1∶2∶2 in methanol and water at 70 ℃ for two days afforded [Zn(PCE)₂(N₃)₂], the structure of which features a four-coordinated distorted tetrahedron geometry around zinc(Ⅱ). CCDC: 235945.
