Abstract: Surface and catalytic properties of PtSnSr/Al2O3 catalysts were studied by using TPR, pyridine-IR, H2-chemisorption and n-butane dehydrogenation reaction test. It was shown that the addition of strontium ions enhanced the interaction among tin and other components, modified the surface acidity and increased the bare fraction of platinum. These led to higher activity of PtSnSr/Al2O3 catalyst for n-butane dehydrogenation.
