Abstract: The title cluster compound (1) was obtained by the reaction of the cluster compound Mo4S4(u-dtp)2 (dtp)4 (2) with Ni(OAc)2. The crystal belongs to monoclinic with space group P2/c, a= 13.176(4),b=11.699(3), c= 18.526(4)Å; β= 116.11(3),V=2564(3)Å3, Z= 2, Dc= 1.776g·cm-3. The structure analysis indicates that (O2CCH3)- ligands selectively substitute the bridging (dtp)- ligands. Meanwhile the terminal (dtp)- ligands arc not substituted. In the results, the new type of Mo4 cluster molecule where the structure contains two species of bidentate ligand is prepared. |
