| Abstract: Axenic culture of chlamydomonas reinhardtii, a photosynthetic green alga, was used as a cell model for this study. The influence of I A-VII A main group elements, which are in the different concentrations, on the population growth of chlamydomonas cells have been studied,and the certain regularity between biological effects of the elements and their position in the periodic table is discussed. |
