Abstract: The title complex was prepared in good yield by the reaction of NdCl3·2LiCl with one equivalent of CH3C5H4Na in THF at room temperature. The complex was characterized by IR spectra, elemental analyses and X-ray single crystal diffraction. The complex crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21 / n with α= 12.130(5), b= 17.343(5), c= 17.016(5)Å, β=108.54(3)°,V=3393.87Å3, Z = 4 and Dc= 1.45gcm-3. The structure was solved by Patterson and Fourier techniques and refined by least-squares method to R= 0.0505 for 2004 observed reflections. |
