Abstract: In this report, two new type of Fe-Ti heterotrimetallic organic compounds first have been obtained from the reaction of 6-methyl-6-ferrocenylfulvene with n-butyllithium,phenyllithium and tetrachloride titanium. Two new compounds are bis(l-ferrocenyl-l-methyl-n-pentylcyclopentadienyl) titanium dichloride, yield 51.2%,m.p.89-91℃(decompose),δH: 6.48(8H,m,2C5H4-Ti),4.10(18H,m,2C5H5FeC5H4),1.20(6H,s,2CH3),1.70,0.84(18H,m,2C4H9-n),and bis(1-ferrocenyl-1-phenylethylcyclopentadienyl) titanium dichloride, yield 41.6%,m.p.120℃ (decompose). δH: 6.94-7.04(8H,m,2C5H4-Ti),4.04(18H,m,2C5H5-FeC5H4),2.16(6H,s,2CH3),7.24(10H,m,C6H5).Since the ferrocene can be easily metallation, therefore the 6-ferrocenyl-6-methylfulvene must reacted with n-butyllithium at lower temperature(-78℃). In the case of phenyllithium, the addition reaction were slowly at room temperature, yielded the ferrocenylalkylcyclopentadienyllithium compounds. The lithium compounds directly reacted with tetrachloride titanium to give heterotrimetallic Fe-Ti compounds as red-brown solid, which are stable in the air. In nonoxidiative acid such as hydrochloric acid, these two compounds arc less stable than titanocene dichloride. |
