Abstract: Ten complexes of tetrachloroauric acid hydrate or their alkali salts with the series of neutral oxo compounds RnXO(R = octyl or phenyl, X = N,P,As or S,n = 2 or 3) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductance, infrared, ultraviolet and NMR spec-troscopies, and thermogravimetric techniques. The results show that the complexes are well defined complexes of the two types. H(RaXO)x·AuCl4·Sy(RaXO = TONO, TOPO, DOSO, DPSO, TPPO, TPAsO and bipyO2,S = ethanol or water, x = 1,2 or 3,y = 0,1,2 or 3) and CAu(L)(Hal)2]Hal (L = bipyO2, Hal = Cl or Br). The possible complexes structures are discussed too. |
