CHEMISTRY OF BORATE IN SALT LAKE BRINE--IV A NEW SOLID PHASE OF MG-BORATE CRYSTALLIZED OUT FROM HIGH-BORON-CONTAINING CONCENTRATED BRINE |

摘要: 本工作采用模拟合成盐卤硼酸盐的方法,配合多种物理分析法进行物相鉴定,确认浓盐卤析出硼酸盐固相是由两种硼酸盐组成。其中一种硼酸盐的化学式为MgO·3B2O3·7H2O,另一种是未见报导的新硼酸盐,化学式为2MgO·2B2O3·MgCl2·14H2O。这种含氯化镁的硼酸镁水合复盐的晶粒细小,电镜下呈针柱状,我们给出了它的伦琴射线粉晶衍射数据,红外光谱和热重分析结果,在差示热分析曲线上出现两个明显的晶型转变放热峰,与柱硼镁石(MgO·B2O3·3H2O)的差示热分析曲线类似。 |

Abstract: Boron-containing brine saturated with MgSO4, in which the mirabilite was dissolved before, is evaporated and concentrated to the extent that the hydrated Mg-borate has just saturated, its chemical composition is 7.36% MgS4O7, 5.34% MgSO4, 22.89% MgCl2 and 0.71% KC1 etc.. The solid, phase crystallized out from this concentrated brine, which has been keeping at room temperature for about ten years, has been studien. The physical analyical methods including simulate synthesis of high-boron-containing concentrated brine and crystallization of the new solid phase of Mg-borate, chemical analysis, thermoanalysis (DTA and TG), iR-spectra analysis, X-ray powder diffraction analysis and electronic microscope, has been used0 The researching results show that the solid phase consists of two hydrated Mg-borates; the first one is MgO·3B2O3·7H2O which is found first in natural conceatrated salt lake brine, another is a new hydrated Mg-borate containing MgCl2. The simplest chemical formula of the later is 2Mg·2B2O3·MgCl2·14H2O which is named as chlorepinnoit because it perhaps exists the same boron-oxygen structure group with pinnoit based on the thermoanalytical results of pinnoit and chlorpinnoit.The chemical reagent MgCl2 ·6H2O, MgO and H3BO3 are used to synthesize high-boron-containing conentrated brine which is setting at 40 ± 0.1℃ and then, MgO·3B2O3·7H2O will be crystallized first, the next is the mixture of MgO ·3B2O3·7H2O and 2MgO·2B2O3·MgCl2·14H2O and at the last is the chlorpinnoit (2MgO·2B2O3·MgCl2·14H2O). The results of all the simulate synthetical hydrated Mg-borates in electronic microscope IR spectra, X-ray powder diffraction, and thermoanalysis are the same as that crystallized out from the high-boron-containing concentrated brine. |
